Rent Navy Hall

Fort George National Historic Site

The site of the historic King's Wharf provides a quiet place for relaxing and enjoying the view of Fort Niagara and the river where many of the events of the history of Niagara began. The building is not open to the public but is available for rental for special events.

Reservations

The Navy Hall stands alone in a carefully manicured park setting just below Fort George National Historic Site on the Niagara River in Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario. It is the perfect venue for: wedding ceremonies and receptions, wedding or bridal showers, company gatherings as well as family reunions.

Venue details:

Navy Hall is located at 305 Ricardo Street, Niagara-on-the-Lake, just below Fort George National Historic Site. There is a parking lot that will accommodate up to 30 vehicles. Beyond that amount, there is unmetered parking on Ricardo Street.

Amenities:

  • 100 folding chairs
  • 20 rectangular folding tables
  • Head table
  • One accessible gender neutral restroom, women’s and men’s restrooms
  • Small staging kitchen (refrigerator, sink and oven)
  • Coat area
  • Air conditioning 
  • There is a designated area to set up a tent (ideal tent size 40ft x 60ft tent)
  • All other amenities must be supplied through outside companies (catering, tents, dishes, linens, entertainment etc.)
  • Decorations are permitted with certain restrictions, ie. no glitter, flower petals, confetti or rice. Everything must stay on the walls as is and cannot be removed. Tacks or tape not permitted on the frames or displays.

Group size

Maximum number of people for this site 100 people (standing) and around 80 people with tables and chairs.

We accommodate no more than one event per day.

We are usually able to allow access to the hall the day before the event after 1pm. Everything must be removed from the hall and the grounds by 10 am the day post event.

General Information

This is a day use only area (no overnight stay).

Events on site are to conclude by 1 a.m. The town’s noise-level by-laws come into effect at 11 p.m.

If serving or selling alcohol, users must obtain a Special Occasion Permit through the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario.

Clients are responsible for obtaining liability insurance for the duration for which they occupy the hall (set-up and tear down dates included). Details on insurance requirements will be provided upon booking.
