Stories of Canada

The Stories of Canada Program will support a variety of projects across the country, which will prioritize opportunities for Indigenous peoples to share and communicate their history in their own voices. This includes supporting research, development, and presentation of stories. Parks Canada strives to provide a space where Canadians can learn about Canadian history from a variety of perspectives.

The 2022-2023 project at Cartier-Brébeuf National Historic Site was realized in collaboration with the Huron-Wendat Nation, and expresses their vision of history, specifically that surrounding the 2nd voyage of explorer Jacques Cartier.
