Accessible facilities
Fort Lennox National Historic Site
What is an accessible facility?
Accessible facilities are designed to eliminate barriers and encourage full participation of persons with limited physical abilities. Fort Lennox National Historic Site offers some accessible and adapted services for our visitors with restricted physical ability.
Reception Centre
- The path between the parking lot and the Reception center is made of stone dust.
- Washrooms are accessible.
Ferry
The ferry is equipped with a removable ramp, for wheelchairs of 36kg or less (80 pounds). Please note that scooter-type wheelchairs are not accepted on the ferry.
For more information, call 450-291-5700.
Île aux Noix
- Paths are of stone dust, but the interior of the fortification is grass
Accompaniment
Access is free for the companion accompanying the person with a disability at Fort Lennox National Historic Site. For the free access, the person with a disability must present, for each visit, a valid card from a recognized association or institution.
Service Animals
Service animals are permitted everywhere in Fort Lennox National Historic Site. They must be clearly identified and be kept on a leash or wear a harness at all times.
