Shoreline Trail
Elk Island National Park
This paved trail follows the original road around Astotin Lake. Beaver Bay, a small picnicking area located upon a peninsula that juts out into Astotin Lake, is located part way along the trail, and offers excellent views of the lake and waterfowl. The small bays along the shore provide ideal opportunities to observe Canada geese, American white pelicans, red-necked grebes and other fascinating waterfowl.

Level of Difficulty: Easy
Significant Features: Mixed-wood forest, good view of islands, beaver and waterfowl. Beaver Bay picnic area found on peninsula with good view of the lake.
Trailhead: Accessible from the golf course parking lot in the Astotin Recreation Area in the East and along the Administration Road to the West.
