Elk Island National Park
The Living Classroom
Bring your students to Elk Island National Park for an engaging out-of-classroom experience and watch the Alberta school curriculum come to life. Experiential learning programs allow students to immerse themselves in nature while exploring the hidden secrets of wetlands and learning how to survive as a bison. Elk Island is a perfect location for students to explore bison ecology, adaptations of plants and animals, wetland food-webs, and the role of Canada’s National Parks in conserving our natural and cultural heritage.
Booking for spring 2024 school programs opens on February 21, 2024. Booking for fall 2024 school programs opens on June 17, 2024.
