Please note: Campers are responsible for washing dishes before and after use.

• A reusable mask is recommended for areas where physical distance cannot be maintained.

Units 8, 11, 17 and 18 are accessible, equipped with a ramp and a wheelchair friendly picnic table.

Site 11 has a removable bed, for easy transfer. Please contact the Camp Henry team prior to your arrival to have it removed.

oTENTik sites are walk-in only. Parking is not permitted on individual oTENTik sites. Please ask the Camp Henry team for assistance bringing your belongings to your site.

Comfort Stations

Family and fully accessible washroom facilities are available at each Camp Henry comfort station. These spacious washrooms are equipped with change tables, grab bars, barrier free showers, wall-mounted shower seats and hand-held slide bar showerheads.

Accessibility throughout the Park

Within the park, wheelchair friendly areas include, Northwest Beach, the Marsh Boardwalk, the DeLaurier building exhibits and parking, the Visitor Centre and the Tip. Accessible washrooms are located at Northwest Beach, Blue Heron, the Visitor Centre and the Tip.

Campsites 8 and 9 are now designated as “pet-friendly”. Pets are only allowed in pet friendly accommodations. For the health and comfort of all visitors to Camp Henry, we make no exceptions.

Campers are financially responsible for any damage that is caused by their pet.

• Pet hair must be swept and removed before departure.
• Pet excrement must be cleaned up during your visit to Point Pelee.
• Pets must be leashed (maximum 3 m) and under physical control at all times.
• To avoid damaging the mattresses, pets are not allowed on the beds.
• A maximum of 2 pets are allowed at your oTENTik.
• Barking or excessive noise will not be tolerated.
• Never leave your pet unattended inside the oTENTik. Daytime temperatures can become very high inside the tents.
• For the safety of your pet, park wildlife and other visitors, never leave pets tethered and unattended at the campsite.
• Pet food and dishes are wildlife attractants. These items must be promptly stored when not in use. Do not store any food items inside the oTENTik.
• Pets are required to stay on designated trails at all times. Pets can easily pick up and carry ticks and poison ivy into your living space.
• Do not allow pets to damage or disturb park vegetation or wildlife.
• For the safety of your pet, all pets must wear proper identification tags.

Failure to abide by these rules could lead to a cancellation of your camping permit.

In addition to the national parks’ camping regulations, Parks Canada oTENTik users must follow a few additional rules:

• To prevent wildlife incidents, no food preparation, food or drink storage, eating, drinking, or cooking is allowed inside the tent. Store all food and related items in the wildlife-proof lockers.
• Smoking is not permitted within the oTENTiks.
• Unless designated as pet-friendly, pets are not allowed in the oTENTik or on the campsite.
• Firewood must be purchased from the park, no wood from outside the park is permitted.
• Respect all signage, including signage on use of trails.
• Stay away from all construction areas, respect signage, and stay out of closed areas.
• Respect physical distancing of 2 meters / 6.5 feet.
• Outdoor surfaces like picnic tables and hand railings are not regularly cleaned. Practice good hygiene like regular hand-washing.
• Items like disposable gloves and disinfectant wipes can be helpful, but please ensure these are disposed of properly. More than ever, Parks Canada requires your help to keep trails and facilities garbage free.
• Visitors should follow the advice of public health experts and practice physical distancing, good hygiene, limit public gatherings and respect travel restrictions and closures.

• oTENTik accommodations only. There is no tent or RV camping within park boundaries.
• A valid credit card is required at check-in for a damage deposit.
• Cell phone coverage varies based on service provider.
• No extra structures permitted in the oTENTik area including tents, tarps, hammocks, etc. (With the exception of a dining tent)
• In addition to camping fees, all campers must pay admission fees upon arrival. Please see our fees page for daily fees and pass options.
