Horseshoe Beach
Pukaskwa’s stoic granite and boreal forests harbour a secret—Horseshoe Beach, an idyllic summer getaway on the shores of Lake Superior. Stroll an accessible boardwalk from Hattie Cove Campground, through wind-bent pine and past rolling dunes, to discover these secluded sands. Access to Southern Headland Trail or Manito Miikana is nearby for great day hikes.
Middle & North Beach
Enjoy these natural, sandy beaches, enhanced with the beauty of Lake Superior’s driftwood. In the distance, see where the muddy Pic River enters Lake Superiors clear blue waters and gaze upon the well-known sand dunes of the river mouth in the community of Biigitigong Nishnaabeg. Access to the North Loop campsites and Manitou Miikana is nearby.
