2. Learn more about the various positions available
There are around twenty student jobs available at La Mauricie National Park, and several positions to be filled at the National Historic Sites in Quebec.
- Visitor experience students – Heritage presentation and interpretation
- You’ll be able to create and lead interpretive activities and guided walks, provide historic, geographic and ecological information about heritage, nature and culture.
- Visitor services students – Gate attendance and cashier services
- You’ll be able to put your energy, courtesy and helpfulness to good use by providing cordial service in welcoming, registering and offering information to visitors.
- Maintenance and facilities support students – Cleaning and maintenance
- You’ll perform a variety of maintenance tasks to ensure that the facilities are clean and accessible to visitors at all times.

4. Verify whether you meet the eligibility requirements for a job with Parks Canada
Who’s eligible: Any person who has the legal status to work in Canada (Canadian citizens, permanent residents, or valid Canadian work permit holders).
To be eligible work for a student job at Parks Canada, you must:
- Be a full-time or part-time student in the winter of 2025 in a high school or post-secondary program of accredited education, adult education or vocational rehabilitation at a high school level administered by an accredited academic institution;
- You meet the minimum age requirement in the province of Quebec.
