Pursuant to section 36(1) of the National Parks General Regulations, of the Canada National Parks Act, the following area is closed to all traffic and travel by order of the Superintendent.

For the purposes of this notice, a temporary closure is necessary for the visitors safety due to a break on Mekinac infrastructure. As a result, a section of the trail is inaccessible (see attached map):

• Temporary closure: a portion of Mekinac Trail is closed for safety reasons.

This closure is effective from April 11th until further notice.

Persons who do not comply with this notice may be subject to legal proceedings under section 24 (1) of the Canada National Parks Act.
