Facility accessibility

Our team strives to provide an accessible and inclusive experience for all visitors within the limitations of our building. If you require assistance during your visit, please ask a staff member.

Parking and building access

The main parking lot for Miette Hot Springs is tiered and 75m from the entrance to the facility. There are 5 stairs from the parking lot, or visitors can walk along the road to get to the bathhouse. Accessible parking spots are located immediately behind the bathhouse.

The doors to the main entrance of the facility are not automated.

Access to the pool deck

A hallway runs the length of the building and connects the lobby and change rooms to the pool deck.

There is a handrail on one side of the hallway.

Personal wheelchairs are not permitted in the spring water at Miette Hot Springs. An aquatic wheelchair is available upon request at the front desk.

Accessible change rooms

Miette Hot Springs has an accessible changing stall in the gendered change rooms that provides a larger space to maneuver for those who need it.

There is a portable chair, a bench and grab rails in the stall. There is no emergency pull cord.

Patrons can request to use the first aid room for more space or for non-gender-specific changing.

There is one accessible washroom in both gendered change rooms. This washroom has grab bars behind and to one side of the toilet, and regular height counter tops with automatic faucets.

Hot and plunge pool access

The doors onto the pool deck are not automated.

A ramp provides direct access to the hot pool closest to the bathhouse. It has an 4 m (13’) wide ramp with a handrail on one side.

The cold pools and second hot pool are not wheelchair accessible. These pools have 4 steps with a handrail in the middle.

Public washrooms

A public washroom (pit toilet) is located in the parking lot, near the picnic area and the Source of the Springs trailhead. There is also one accessible parking space, and an accessible picnic table in this area.

One accessible washroom (toilet, regular height sink with automatic faucet) is located outside the main entrance to the building.
