Travel trade admission fees

Parks Canada adjusts fees every two years based on changes in the Consumer Price Index. The next fee adjustment will be January 1, 2026. For a commercial fee list, contact Parks Canada’s travel trade team at tourisme-tourism@pc.gc.ca.

Commercial group admission fees

Parks Canada offers daily group admission fees to organized commercial groups. To request a list of current commercial group per person admission fees, please contact our travel trade team at tourisme-tourism@pc.gc.ca.

To purchase commercial group admission for Western Canada, please contact the Western Group and Commercial Tours Office. To purchase all other commercial group admission, please contact the specific national park(s), national historic site(s) and/or national marine conservation area(s) your clients are wishing to visit.

Volume discounts for commercial group admissions are available:

  • 5% for annual volumes of 500 to 2000 visitors
  • 10% for annual volumes of 2001 to 3000 visitors
  • 15% for annual volumes of more than 3000 visitors

Discounts will be based on the number of visitors brought by a commercial group operator during the previous year.

Parks Canada Discovery Passes for FIT

The Discovery Pass is your clients’ gateway to Canada’s history, nature, and adventure from coast to coast to coast. No matter where your clients’ adventures take them – 450 000 km2 of stories await!

Discovery Passes are available to purchase for your FIT clients at net rates with no minimum order required.

Daily admission fees for FIT

Daily admission is charged at most national parks and national historic sites.

The following definitions apply to admission unless otherwise specified:

  • Adult: Person 18 to 64 years of age
  • Senior: Person 65 years of age or over
  • Youth: Person 6 to 17 years of age
  • Family/Group: Up to seven people arriving in a single vehicle in a national park.*

* Please note that Family/Group admission does not apply to Commercial Groups. Commercial Group admission fees apply.

Park pass expiry times

Daily entry pass expiry times vary by location. A list of some national park daily entry expiry times can be found below.

If the site you are visiting is not mentioned above, please contact the national park or national historic site to inquire about park pass expiry times.

Free admission for youth 17 and under

Admission to all national parks, national historic sites, and national marine conservation areas operated by Parks Canada will be provided free of charge for visitors 17 and under.

Free admission for youth only applies to places managed by Parks Canada. It does not apply to provincial parks, territorial parks, municipal and private parks, nor to the many historic sites not managed by Parks Canada.

What is not free?

Parks Canada is pleased to offer free admission for youth at our parks and sites, however regular fees still apply for other experiences and services, such as:

  • Camping, backcountry and other accommodations;
  • Canadian Rockies Hot Springs;
  • Northern Park Backcountry Camping and Excursion Permit;
  • Lockage;
  • Mooring;
  • Reservation fees;
  • Guided tours and hikes and programs not usually included with admission;
  • Some special event fees;
  • Firewood;
  • Backcountry overnight use.

Your fees at work: maintaining high quality visitor services

As cornerstones of Canada’s tourism industry, Parks Canada administered places are committed to providing visitors with high quality and meaningful visitor experiences and supporting tourism in communities across the country. Revenues from fees collected at national parks, historic sites and marine conservation areas are re-invested to support visitor programs, services, and facilities, in addition to engaging visitors in conservation efforts.

To ensure visitors have the best possible experiences, Parks Canada is renewing structures like buildings, trails, campgrounds, visitor centres and parkways in our treasured places across the country. Some projects may have a temporary impact on your clients’ visit. For specific details on the projects or potential visitor impacts, please check infrastructure improvements at Parks Canada administered places.

Please note

  • All fees are listed in Canadian dollars, and include all applicable taxes.
  • All fees, except when otherwise indicated, are on a per person per day basis.
  • In most cases, fees indicated are for admission to the park or site only. Additional fees may be charged for value-added services such as guided experiences and interpretive programs. Please call the park or site directly for information and reservations.
  • Many national parks and national historic sites are open on a seasonal basis. Please check ahead for hours of operation.
  • Parks Canada is committed to provide the tourism industry with 12 months’ advance notice of new travel trade fees.
