The Lower Fort Garry grounds are open for visitors to enjoy. The Visitor Centre, washrooms and all historic buildings are closed.
Lower Fort Garry offers visitors a rare and immersive glimpse into the lives of its 19th-century residents. Admission into Lower Fort Garry provides visitors with access to explore the fort grounds, view its collection of early stone buildings, interact with costumed interpreters, and learn about historic artifacts that are on display. With demonstrations occurring regularly, visitors get to experience the historic site coming to life.
