Musket demonstrations

Watch the flash of fire and hear the blast of a Brown Bess musket like those used in the Rebellions of 1837-1838. A costumed interpreter explains details of the historic musket, including how to handle and load charges, and the challenges of loading and firing as quickly as possible.

Musket firings are weather dependent. The schedule is updated daily and available at the Visitor Orientation Centre and Museum.

Free with admission. Admission is free for youth 17 and under.
