Group Site Tour
Interpreters in period costume lead your group on a tour of our buildings including the museum, soldiers’ barracks, cookhouse, and conclude with a musket firing demonstration! Visitors will discover the strategic importance of the Detroit River Frontier and the social history of the soldiers and their families, officers, tradesmen, and First Nations warriors, who protected and served this frontier for over 50 years.

Programming for day camps
Located in the heart of beautiful downtown Amherstburg, Fort Malden offers a variety of activities to educate and entertain your campers. Children will explore the fascinating history of Canada with opportunities to play period games, watch a blacksmith at work, dress up and live like a soldier, discover how food was prepared and cooked in the early 1800s, and explore the exhibits in the Fort Malden museum.
