There are many things to see and do at Fort Malden National Historic Site! Experience the blast of a musket firing demonstration and talk with costumed interpreters. Bring a picnic to enjoy with gorgeous river views. Explore our authentic fort and imagine what life was like for the soldiers in Upper Canada in 1837-38. Step inside our pensioner’s cottage, officer’s quarters, soldiers’ barracks, and gift shop, and visit our museum to discover 200-year-old artifacts! Plan your visit today!

Explore Fort Malden from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday to Sunday in May and June.
- Catch the flash of fire and hear the blast of a Brown Bess musket in a musket demonstration. Demonstrations held throughout the day.
- Join a guided tour at 11:15 a.m., 1:15 p.m., and 3:15 p.m. included with admission.
- View heritage cooking, blacksmithing and gardening demonstrations and explore historic buildings from the original fort.
- Talk with passionate and knowledgeable costumed interpreters stationed throughout the Fort and listen to stories that will bring you back 200 years.
