Ride the Batoche Shuttle to explore
Batoche National Historic Site
Step on board the Batoche Shuttle, a shiny white open-sided ride which can transport up to 48 visitors at a time on a trip of discovery around Batoche. Ride over to the East Village where Louis Riel’s provisional government of Saskatchewan was headquartered. Feel more connected to the recent past of this Métis settlement on the banks of the South Saskatchewan River. Along the way enjoy the scenic views on both sides of the green prairies sprigged with wildflowers and the trembling aspen forest. Meet figures from the past when knowledgeable Parks Canada staff in authentic costume stop for a chat and share stories of Batoche. Excellent for people with limited mobility, and wheelchair friendly, the Shuttle helps open up this historic site to everyone.
The shuttle runs continuously in July and August from 10:00 am to 4:30 pm.
