Sand Dune Restoration
Pacific Rim National Park Reserve’s beaches include sand dunes that are home to many rare and endangered species of animals and plants. Parks Canada is restoring these sensitive dune ecosystems by removing invasive species of dune grasses that impede the natural movement of sand. Learn more about coastal sandy ecosystems and the rare species that call them home.

Shoreline Clean-ups
Throughout the year shoreline clean-ups happen in all three units of Pacific Rim National Park Reserve. Parks Canada has partnered with the Vancouver Aquarium to take part in the Great Canadian Shoreline Clean-up; check out their website, shorelinecleanup.ca, or find it through Parks Canada’s National partner’s page. The website will provide more information on the program and help you find shoreline clean-ups in the park reserve or in your own community.
