Birds of prey
Mingan Archipelago National Park Reserve
Several species of Raptors are present in the Mingan Archipelago National Park Reserve, particularly during the migrations of shorebirds and marine birds. The Bald eagle and Osprey are present all summer and nest on the islands where their prey abounds. A few species of goshawks, harriers, buteos, kestrels, hawks and owls can also be observed in flight or perched in conifers that are bordering the boreal forest. The Snowy owl sometimes visits the islands in winter.
