70 Million Years in 60 Minutes
Experience 70 million years of time exposed in Grasslands geology. Witness beginnings and ends of life and stand on the KPg boundary; the thin layer that marks the dinosaur extinction. 60 minutes of wonder and awe.
Location: Badlands Parkway Crackerjack Stop #2
Schedule: 9 am May 3 to August 30. Every Monday, Tuesday and Friday.
Duration: 1 hour
Activity level: Moderate, walking distance is 1 km on loose and uneven terrain
Special notes: Be prepared for extreme heat during summer months. Remember to bring water, walking shoes, and a hat.

Native Prairie Hike
Come explore one of Canada’s most endangered and misunderstood ecosystems with us; native mixed grass prairie. Along the hike learn to identify prairie plants, look for elusive grasslands species and learn about the importance of protecting this unique habitat.
Location: Ecotour Scenic Drive Stop #2 Top Dogtown

- May 18 to June 29 – 9:00am Saturdays
- July 3 to September 5 – 9:00 am Wednesdays and Thursdays.
- September 7 to 28 – 9:00am Saturdays.
