Facilities and Services
Vuntut National Park
Situated in northern Yukon, above the Arctic Circle, Vuntut is one of Canada’s most remote national parks, visited by few serious adventurers. There are no facilities or services of any kind in the park. Visitors can experience the rich cultural and natural heritage of the area by flying into Vuntut, and by exploring the traditional Gwitchin village of Old Crow to the south of the park. With a population of 300 and no road access it is both the most northerly and the most isolated community in the Yukon. People normally fly to Old Crow from Whitehorse, Dawson City or Inuvik.
John Tizya Centre
Interpretive displays showcase Vuntut National Park, Vuntut Gwitchin culture and the natural highlights of the Old Crow area. Parks Canada and Vuntut Gwitchin Government Heritage Department offices are also located here. A wealth of information awaits you at the John Tizya Centre!
