International Day of Francophonie

Dear Colleagues,

Today we celebrate the International Day of Francophonie, part of this month’s Les Rendez Vous de la Francophonie. Celebrating La Francophonie is recognizing the potential of language and culture to unite people, to create spaces of solidarity and mutual understanding, and to reflect on the impact of Francophone culture on the work we do.

Let’s Talk French Culture

From 1:30pm to 3:00pm today, join the Canada School of Public Service and Heritage’s event celebrating the Francophone Art Community. Featuring songwriters, comedians, and multi-disciplinary artists, celebrate our differences and similarities across languages.

As Co-Champions for Official Languages we’re excited to be greeting the Parks Canada community for the first time this year, and with our newest Co-Champion, Andrew Campbell. We encourage employees to take a moment to celebrate and learn about Francophone culture through one of the many activities in person and virtually available on the RVF website and our intranet page. This includes:

… and much more on the RVF website!

We hope you’ll take this day to learn something new and explore Francophone culture from coast to coast to coast.

Happy International Day of Francophonie!
