2024-04-04 Organizational changes in HREWD

Dear colleagues,

I would like to inform you of changes to the organizational structure of the Human Resources and Employee Wellness Directorate (HREW), effective April 2, 2024.

The changes are the result of an evaluation of the HREW organizational structure focused on eliminating redundancies, streamlining business processes and delivering the highest level of customer service excellence. The changes represent a transition from five to three teams resulting in a simplified executive structure (PCX) and an adjustment to management roles and responsibilities as follows:

     1. Strategic Workplace Management

This team includes a new HR Policy, Planning and Systems team, a new HR Project Management and Transformation team, as well as the existing Workplace Relations and Wellness teams.

     2. HR-to-Pay Service Centre

This team will be responsible for the Centres of expertise of staffing and organization and classification, compensation, executive group services, as well as PCX and non-PCX performance and talent management.

     3. Workforce Diversity, Culture and Development

This team includes values and ethics, diversity, inclusion and accessibility, learning and development, as well as official languages and employee recognition programs.

The PCX members who will be leading these new teams are identified in this document.

Please join me in wishing all HREW employees a smooth transition to this new structure, and all these leaders the best of success in their respective roles.

Ron Hallman
President & Chief Executive Officer
