Bringing your pet to the park
Pets are not permitted in most areas of the park. They are only allowed in the developed campgrounds (Mistagance, Wapizagonke and Rivière-à-la-Pêche) and the Parkway corridor, including the rest stops and picnic areas along the Parkway. Follow these recommendations to ensure that you and the other visitors have a safe and pleasant stay.
Note that two pets are allowed per campsite.
Please note that you must follow these rules at all times:
- keep your pet on a leash
- scoop and dispose of your pet’s excrement
- never leave your pet unattended
- ensure that your pet does not annoy other visitors at the park
Pets are not allowed:
- on trails
- on beaches
- in boats
- in canoe-camping sites
- in backcountry areas
- in public buildings
- in oTENTik tents
- in Domaine Wabenaki-Andrew lodges
- in La Clairière group campground
- in the cabins
Service Animals
Service animals are permitted everywhere in La Mauricie National Park.
Service animals must:- be clearly identified
- be kept on a leash or wear a harness at all times
IMPORTANT: The owner of an animal that has bitten or injured, or that represents a significant risk of aggressive behaviour may be expelled from the park without notice.
