Purchase of wood
Your camping trip is booked and you're dreaming of the sound of a crackling wood fire with marshmallows. Parks Canada would like to remind you that it is forbidden to import firewood into national parks because of the risk of spreading pests and diseases that are harmful to our forests.
It is important to purchase wood from the park and burn it on the site. Diseases and insects can survive in the wood and spread to the surrounding forest. A single log can destroy millions of trees.. It is also forbidden to light or maintain fires other than in fireplaces and to use dead or live wood from the park forest.
Learn more about the impacts of harmful pests and diseases from contaminated wood.
Firewood is available at these three wood yards near the campsites in the park.
