Closed for maintenance - October 1 to October 18, 2024

The Banff Upper Hot Springs will be undergoing maintenance from October 1 to 18, 2024. The entire facility will be closed during this time.
Key details: 

  • This closure is necessary for maintenance work to uphold Parks Canada’s high standards at this popular year-round destination.  
  • The hot pool will be drained, retiled, and recoated requiring warm weather and time to properly cure.
  • Visitors looking for an alternate hot springs experience can make a day trip to Radium Hot Springs, located just an hour and a half drive from Banff National Park.

The hot pool is anticipated to reopen to the public on Saturday, October 19.  We look forward to welcoming you back to the Banff Upper Hot Springs and appreciate your patience and understanding as we enhance this beloved heritage experience.

Banff Upper Hot Springs is open on Canadian holidays including Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Year’s Day, Good Friday and Easter.

Open daily:

  • 10 am to 10 pm
  • Last entry is at 9:30 pm

Last admission 30 minutes before closing time.
