The Haida Gwaii Watchmen act as guardians at historic Haida village and cultural sites both in and around Gwaii Haanas. These Haida men and women help maintain facilities and provide cultural history interpretation to visitors.

Gwaii Haanas supports this program with operating funds and with a training program. The training program includes historical booklets as well as staff participation in a course which provides both cultural and natural history.
