Cape Breton Highlands National Park
In order to help ensure the continued protection of natural and cultural resources, as well as to promote visitor safety and a positive visitor experience in Cape Breton Highlands National Park, the Superintendent has issued the following Restricted or Prohibited Activity Notices:

- Liquor
- Bulk garbage produced outside park deposited in park receptacles
- Skateboarding or longboarding
- Bicycles on the Skyline Trail
- Drone usage
Restricted activities:
- Mary Ann Falls Road
- Metal detectors
- Rock or ice climbing
- Skyline Headland
- Old Fire Tower Trail
- Smoking
The detailed Restricted and Prohibited Activity Notices are kept at the Ingonish and Chéticamp Visitor Centres, as well as at the Park Administration, and Park Warden offices.
Failure to comply with Restricted or Prohibited Activity Notices or with any National Park Regulation may result in fines or prosecution under the Canada National Parks Act. Please feel free to contact park staff for further information.
