Closure Notice: Old Fire Tower Trail

Rationale: Unsafe infrastructure
Pursuant to section 7(1) of the National Parks General Regulations, the Superintendent designates the following Restricted Area within Cape Breton Highlands National Park. This area is known locally as the Old Fire Tower Trail. See map below.
Except where explicitly authorized by the Superintendent, entry or travel on or along the Old Fire Tower Trail on foot or by any means is prohibited at all times.
Anyone found in violation will be subject to charges under s. 7(4) of the National Parks General Regulations, with fines ranging from $237.50 to $25,000.
