This rolling trail features an ostrich fern bed and expansive views of Waskesiu Lake.
A forest of balsam fir leads to lookouts near where a bustling trading post was set up in the 1880s. Jack pine leads to a boardwalk and beach where all that is left is the whisper of waves.
Length: 3km Loop
Time: 1 hour
Level of Difficulty: Moderate, some steep sections.
Significant Features: This trail passes through a variety of habitats as it follows along the shore of Waskesiu Lake. Of particular interest is the large fern bed that peaks in early summer.
Trailhead: 22km down the Kingsmere Road.
