Old Slys
Rideau Canal National Historic Site
These locks are located on the eastern edge of Smiths Falls. A rail line crosses the site, serving as a reminder of the town’s historic importance as a railway hub. Old Slys has considerable mooring space and is very close proximity to many amenities. There is ample parking and parkland with a trail to downtown.

History
Some 1.6 km (1 mile) below the Combined lockstation is a flight of two locks called Old Slys lockstation. This station is named for the original settler at this location, William Sly.
