Suggested content: based on need, students will have the chance to explore this portage site near Montreal, on the banks of the St. Lawrence River, which was frequented by Indigenous people, and holds over 7,000 years of history.

  • Guided tour to understand the strategic position of this trading and military site
  • Presentation and observation of the role of North America's first lock canals, built in 1779 to overcome navigation challenges on the river upstream from Montreal.
  • Role-playing and challenges
  • Presentation of a soldier's daily life
